Located in south-central Indiana, Bloomington High Schools North and South regularly compete in sports and academics but the orchestra students from these two schools perform, work and play together in the Hoosier Youth Philharmonic.
President - We are looking for a new president! - coordinate with the directors, run the Boosters meetings, and organize parent volunteers
Recordings - Record concerts to post to the HYP Youtube channel.

We will discuss the Strings Spectacular and Spaghetti Supper. HYP board meetings take place at BHSN all fall semester (this is the last booster meeting at North for the 25-26 school year; we will move to South starting with the January meeting).

Arrival Time: 11:25 AM at BHSS (Main Entrance) in full concert dress
Departure: 11:45 AM via MCCSC bus
Destination: Shelbyville High School
Orchestra Warm-Up Time: 1:45 PM
Orchestra Performance Time: 2:20 PM
Performance Location: Auditorium (Parents are encouraged to attend!!)
Sight-Reading: 2:55 PM (Closed to public)
Students will be finished performing at approximately 3:25 PM, and we plan to depart around 3:40 PM.
On the way back, we will stop for fast food. Please have your student bring at least $15.00 for this stop.
All students are required to meet at BHSS and take the bus to Shelbyville with the group. However, if you are attending and wish for your teen to ride home with you, please send an email to Mr. Balogh no later than the end of school day on Friday, April 24. This will ensure that we are not leaving anyone behind when we take attendance on the bus after the contest is over
We expect to arrive back at South at approximately 5:30 PM. Please plan to pick up your child promptly at that time. Students will be asked to contact you about 20 minutes prior to arrival.
