After weekly practices on the BHS South football field HYP presented a physically distanced outdoor fall concert on October 14, 2020. A power outage on the football field caused a last minute change of venue to the BHS South softball field. Gusty weather made it a sport to keep music in place and music stands upright. Uniforms were not available but the HYP outfit committee provided each orchestra member with a custom made HYP face covering. Despite all the challenges the concert was beautiful and certainly memorable. The event was covered by the Herald Times with a livestream, followed by a front page story on October 16, 2020.
On October 10, 2020, a small ensemble of HYP members gave a physically distanced outdoor performance at Redbud retirement community.
