Chili Supper & Silent Auction

Please get your tickets from an orchestra member, and join us for the annual HYP Chili Supper fundraiser on March 2nd in the Bloomington High School South Cafeteria,  from 5:00-7:00pm.

This year’s Chili Supper will feature a silent auction as well as our traditional chili (meat & veg), hot dogs, delicious desserts, and small ensemble performances. The silent auction will feature Longaberger Baskets filled with donations from the Bloomington community.

Please note: Payment for the silent auction must be made in Cash or Check.

Donors include: Southwest Airlines, Bloomington Country Club, My Sports Locker, Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Jack’s Donuts, Avers Pizza, Cardinal Stage, Hoosier Heights Climbing, Vance Music, Urban Air, Buskirk-Chumley Theatre, Macy’s, Barnes & Noble, Black Lumber, Starbucks, & Crew Car Wash. Valentine Cookie Bake 2018

Send a sweet treat on Valentine’s Day!!

HYP is selling a heart shaped chocolate chip cookie (6” by 6”) with frosting decoration. Each cookie is $3.00 and a 3-word acceptable phrase can be put on each cookie. This is an inexpensive way to tell someone they are special!

Place your order with a HYP student. All order forms and money need to be turned in no later then Thursday, February 8th. Parents can signup to help via SignUp Genius beginning Wednesday Jan. 31st.

Final Southwest Airlines raffle for HYP

One More Chance to Soar!

This will be the final Southwest Airlines raffle for HYP, and your last chance to win TWO ROUNDTRIP AIRLINE TICKETS donated by Southwest Airlines. The tickets are valid for roundtrip travel on Southwest operated, published scheduled service in the United States, its territories and its possessions, including Puerto Rico.

Raffle tickets are being sold for $10 each, 3 for $25 or 6 for $50. For every ticket you buy, your name will be entered into the raffle, so the more tickets you buy the more chances you have to win.

The winner will be selected at the HYP Chili Supper on March 2nd, 2018.

The airline tickets are valid through February  27th of 2019.

You do not need to be present to win.

Students can earn credit towards a merit for selling 4 tickets or more. Mr. Hansen will be distributing tickets to students during class.

The HYP Pie Bake is Here!

It’s time to order your Thanksgiving pies! HYP will be selling and baking homemade pies for Thanksgiving again this year. There are 3 varieties to chose from: apple and pumpkin $20 each, and pecan for $22. Order by Thursday, November 9th with pickup on Monday, November 20th from 5-7pm at BHSN. Please also consider donating a pie to the Community Kitchen. We will make, bake and deliver your pie to the Community Kitchen in time for Thanksgiving. We are limited to making 200 pies so get your orders in!

HYP will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win TWO ROUNDTRIP AIRLINE TICKETS donated by Southwest Airlines. The tickets are good for roundtrip transportation on Southwest-operated service within the continental United States.

Dine to Donate: BJ’s!

Don’t know what to cook for Thursday? Take the night off and dine out at BJ’s! You will need to present the flier to your server for the credit to go to HYP. The event is also on our Facebook page, so please share away! Let’s fill BJ’s with HYP supporters.

HYP Bazaar

This year the HYP is launching a new effort: the HYP Bazaar.

The Bazaar will provide middle school families with a source of inexpensive concert attire while also serving as a fundraiser for the HYP. Please check your closets for outgrown or unwanted white shirts, black pants and skirts, and black dress shoes then send those items to school with your child. We will also gladly accept equipment such as shoulder rests, rosin, cases, and practice books.

Thanks to the few who donated during the welcome dessert, but we have a long way to go in order to make this a successful event.The items will then be sold at middle school open houses.

First Dine to Donate: Aver’s Pizza!

Our first Dine and Donate will be on August 29th from 5pm-8pm at Avers Pizza.

Avers will donate 20% back to HYP. The guests just need to let their server know they are there for the fundraiser.
