The MCCSC School Board has asked the public to make comments and suggestions on setting priorities and making cuts as they develop their plans to accommodate the $3.8 million shortfall in the corporation's budget. Some parents have suggested that we might want to make comments expressing our beliefs about the benefits and strengths of the elementary, middle, and high school strings programs and why we feel it is important that they continue. You could do this in one of two ways:

First, there is a link on the MCCSC home page to a page on which you can make comments before March 1. Go to www.mccsc.edu and click on "Budget Shortfall Comments and Suggestions" near the top of the page.

Second, the School Board*** will be meeting in the Large Group Room (next to the auditorium) at South, at 7:00, on Tuesday, Feb. 2 and Tuesday, Feb. 16. The meetings begin with time for members of the public to make brief comments to the board on any topic they wish.
